How to connect Counter with Airbnb?

Manage your Airbnb reservations and availability through Counter! All you need to do is follow these simple steps.

Before requesting the connection, please check the following:
  • You have all your listing (Ads) under the same Airbnb account.
  • Instant booking is active for all the listings.
  • You have a maximum of 1 listing per Room Type in Counter and the maximum capacity is matching. For shared dorms, the maximum capacity in Airbnb must be 1 (one).
  • Make sure your listings on AIRBNB are set up as one of the following:
    • Apartment.
    • Secondary unit.
    • Bed and breakfast.
    • Boutique hotel

You will not be able to connect your listing or it may cause availability errors if it is set as a house or unique space.

  • Availability: Must be updated in Counter. This means you should have all the reservations. Only the Airbnb ones might be missing. Find out more here
  • Currency: Verify that your currency setting in our system matches your currency in Airbnb. If you have a multi-currency set up, please contact us.

Please do not proceed to connect until you are sure that all the above looks good. Should you have any doubts, just contact us.



Once you have checked your configuration, please follow the next steps to proceed with the connection of your Airbnb account:

Note: If you are currently connected to a channel manager, please disconnect the old connection before adding this new one.
  1. Send an email to support@hostelworld.com requesting the connection with Airbnb. If you are currently going through your Onboarding process, please contact your Onboarding manager directly.
  2. We will send you a link to accept the connection.
  3. After accepting the connection, we will be ready to map your Counter Room types with your Airbnb listings. To be able to do so, please send us the list of all your Airbnb listings and Rate Plans with the corresponding Room Types and Rate Plans in Counter.
  4. Let us know if you wish to import your future reservations.

Once the mapping is finished, you will be able to check it in Counter, inside the Channels section.
