📽️ Video Tutorials 🎬 - How to Delete Rates

Deleting a rate is useful when you no longer want to offer a specific pricing option — for example, a Non-Refundable Rate or a Bed & Breakfast Rate.
This guide explains the different ways you can remove rates from your Rates & Availability page.

🛠️ Where to Find Rate Deletion Options

1. Log in to your Hostelworld Inbox

2. Go to Rates & Availability

You can delete a rate directly from the Calendar or through Bulk Update.

🗑️ Option 1: Delete a Rate Directly From the Calendar

The video shows the following steps:

1. Click on the Rate you want to delete

2. Select Edit Rate

3. Click Delete Rate

4. Confirm by clicking Delete to Confirm

This action removes the rate for the selected room type.

🗑️ Option 2: Delete a Rate Through Bulk Update

You can also delete rates for larger date ranges using Bulk Update:

1. Open Bulk Update

2. Locate the Delete Rate section

3. Select the Rate Type you wish to delete

4. Select the Room Type

5. Click Delete Rate

6. Confirm the deletion by selecting Delete to Confirm

⚠️ Important Notes

• Deleting a rate removes it only for the selected room types.

• If you want to discontinue a rate across all rooms, repeat the deletion for each room type.

• Deleting a rate does not affect existing bookings — guests with confirmed reservations will still arrive under the originally booked rate.

• Standard Rates cannot be deleted.

  • If you no longer wish to offer a Standard Rate for a specific room type, apply Stop Sell instead.
