How to Translate Your Property Description?
🌍 Adding your property’s description in multiple languages helps you reach more travellers and increase your conversion rate.
More than one-third of Hostelworld guests browse and book in their native language, and they’re more likely to choose hostels whose profiles are clearly written in that language.
You can upload your property content in up to 19 languages directly through your Hostelworld Inbox
🛠️ How to Add or Update Your Description
You can manage all your property content through your Inbox.
Step 1: Check existing translations
On your Inbox , look for the Languages box.
There, you’ll see which languages are already available for your property.

Step 2: Add or edit your description

Go to Property Setup → Microsite Content → Property Description.

Select the language you want to update.

Enter your translated description.

Click Save.
🕓 What Happens Next
Once you’ve added or updated your content, please note that your changes won’t appear immediately.
Our Market Support Team reviews and approves all new translations to ensure accuracy and consistency across the platform.
After approval, your new content will be visible both in your Back Office and on your Hostelworld profile.
📌 Important Notes

If no translation is available, the English version will automatically appear by default.

Updating content in one language does not automatically update other languages.
Each language version must be edited individually and manually.
