Who is paying me?

Customer will pay Hostelworld the booking deposit, which fully covers Hostelworld commission and the remaining balance directly to the Hostel on arrival.

This is a handy payment model, which means there are no additional financial transactions between Hostelworld and the Hostel.

This is also one of the reasons why all Hostelworld bookings are confirmed immediately and are based on the availability and price you set up in the system.

In case of the Non Refundable booking, the balance can be charged in advance, however it is still a responsibility of the property to charge the balance.

The only different payment model is for non-refundable bookings using PayNow, in this case, Hostelworld will change the customer the full amount and transfer the amount due to the property directly. Interested? Read more HERE.
