How is my 'Average Rating' calculated?

We calculate the rating on based on Stayed date (aka Arrival Date), not reviewed date as follows:

6 months – re-introduction of the 6-month if your hostel has had reviews in the past 6 months 
12 months – if you have not received reviews in the previous 6 months 
18 months – if you have not received reviews in the last 12 months 

You can see your average rating on you Hostelworld page, as well as in your Hostelworld Inbox

* Sometimes, you might notice that some reviews aren’t visible on Hostelworld.com but do appear in your Inbox. This usually happens because the reviewer chose a different language when submitting their review. To view all feedback, select ‘All Reviews translated into English’ to display every review.
