Cancellation policy in Counter are independent from OTAs (Hostelworld, Booking, Expedia...) cancellation policy . It is very important to be sure you configure well in every channel to avoid conflicts and confusions.
How to configure cancellation policy in Counter?
Counter allows you to customize the Cancellation Policies for different Rate Plans and different Room Types ( different cancellation periods, and different late cancellation fees/ no show fees). Counter cancellation policies are applicable for Counter Booking Engine and for Stripe automated payment processing (beta).
Go to bed icon -> Manage -> Rate & Restrictions -> New Rate Plan -> Select Room type -> Select the room and then click on cancellation policy
You can choose between:
- Refundable -> Define how many days (duration) in advance the guest needs to cancel to not be charged. And how much they will be charged if they do it later.
- Not Refundable -> 100% will be always charged and Cancellation policy
How to configure cancellation policy in Hostelworld?
Now you can edit your policies directly in Counter .
Rooms > Channels > Hostelworld > Microsite Content
