"We make a conscious effort to conduct our business in the most eco-friendly manner, from administration to property management. Firstly, we operate on a sustainable power source, relying primarily on a battery system that is only charged during the day. The hostel requires almost 0 heating and cooling due to proper insulation, saving lots. We use groundwater sparingly and have several tanks that act as our main water supply. The property is 90% plastic and paper-free, whereby any other waste is separated, bottles are returned to the manufacturer for reuse, and the food is composted on-site using only reusable cutlery. Food is all organic and locally grown and supplied. Guests use bikes and public transport for everyday getting around, yet still choose to spend the majority of their time hanging out in the vast garden and outdoor space!”
