How to setup your Rooms using Hostelworld Inbox?

Setting up Rooms via Hostelworld Inbox.

To set up rooms in Inbox, log in and go to the "Rates & Availability" tab.

Click on "Add/Edit Room Types" and then on 'Add New Room Type"

For each room type you have in your hostel please fill in the following:

Room Grade: choose between Basic, Standard, Deluxe, Superior

Number of Guests - enter the actual number of people the room can sleep. Please note if you are adding

  • a large bed for 2 persons (Double, King or Queen) you must enter 2 here and select room type Double Bed.
  • Capsules/pods available within the room - please note a capsule/pod is considered a bed for 1 person only.

Room Type - select between:

  • Mixed Capsule/Mixed Pod - the capsule/pod is located in a room where both female and male guests are accepted
  • Female Capsule/Pod - the capsule/pod is located in a room for female guests only
  • Male Capsule/Pod - the capsule/pod is located in a room for male guests only
  • Twin Room - Only when your rooms has 2 single beds or bunk beds (for 2 people)

  • Double Room - Only when your room has 1 double bed. 

  • Private rooms – Only when your Private Room has individual beds (Single or bunk beds)

  • Female Dorms - Only you have shared rooms with individual beds for female guests only

  • Male Dorm - Only you have shared rooms with individual beds for male guests only

  • Mixed Dorm - Only you have shared rooms with individual beds for both females and males

  • Family room – Only when you have at least a double bed and any additional one (ex: 1 Room with 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed). The Family rooms are for at least 3 guests each or more.

  • Apartment – Only if it has its own private kitchen and bathroom.

  • Private and shared tents – Only when it is a tent with the option of private or shared. The property must provide the mattresses inside the tents. In the case of shared tents, one mattress for each person. We do not allow shared tents with less than 4 beds.

Number of Rooms - add the number rooms you have of this type

Ensuite - select whether the room has an Ensuite bathroom (inside the room) or a shared one (other rooms have access to it).

Custom Name: Give the room type a name, for example, 4 Bed Blue Dorm, you can name the room type anything you want, but please note that this name will not appear onlineit is for your reference only.

Room Description: Here you can say a bit more about the room type, for example: TV in room or lamps beside each bed. Once you have added your description an automatic email will be sent to us, we will then update it, so it appears online.
Room description must be written in English only and are currently available for Web users only. Any content written in any language other than English, or any content that mention price or contact details will NOT be approved.

Weekday and a Weekend Price – only available to Inbox users.  If you are entering the price for a capsule or pod room, please enter a 'Price per Person' rate.

 

**Your availability will be automatically opened on Hostelworld for one year from the day the room has been created. Please ensure you update your availability through the main Calendar**

 

Please note, for security reasons it is not possible to edit the rooms configurations. In that case you will have to delete it and create a new one.

 

Deleting Rooms

If you wish to delete any of your rooms, just select the room you wish to delete and click on the 'trash can' as shown here:

If you have future bookings for this room, a warning will pop up. If you delete a room that has bookings - it's important to remember that all bookings will remain valid and the customer will expect to stay in the same room they booked for. Any future bookings will still be in Inbox and can be found by using the 'Advanced Search' on the 'Bookings' tab in Inbox.
