[🎯 Promotions](https://support.hostelworld.com/knowledge/promotional-tools-and-services?hsLang=en#promotions) # Mobile Promotion #### **What is the Mobile Promotion?** The **Mobile Promotion** is a default promotion that allows you to offer discounted rates for bookings made through the Hostelworld Mobile web page and the Hostelworld App. Over 50% of Hostelworld bookings are made via Mobile. There are several parameters you can edit before enabling the Mobile Promotion. If enabled, the promotion will display strikethrough pricing on the Hostelworld App and the mobile page, offering a much stronger call to action to potential bookers. ![](https://support.hostelworld.com/hubfs/image-png-May-11-2023-09-39-34-8857-AM.png) When a customer places a search through their mobile phone that meets the criteria assigned by the various parameters, Hostelworld will return a discounted price. If you have two or more promotions set up and active simultaneously, the customer will receive the highest discount, and the Mobile Promotion discount will apply on top of that.  If a Mobile Promotion and an App-only Deal are both activated simultaneously, it is important to note that the Mobile Promotion discount is applied first, and on top of the highest discount generated by the other promotions that might be active, such as Last Minute, a Custom Promotion, etc. The App Only discount is applied to all rates, even those with discounts already applied through other promotions.   **Example:** ![Screenshot 2023-10-17 at 11.09.50](https://support.hostelworld.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202023-10-17%20at%2011.09.50.png?width=688&height=168&name=Screenshot%202023-10-17%20at%2011.09.50.png) #### **How can I enable the Mobile Promotion?** To enable the Mobile Promotion, go to the Promotions tab from the Rates & Availability section.   The promotion will show up as inactive by default. Once the discount has been applied, hit the Update button at the bottom. #### **For bookings made day(s) or less before check-in** This is the key input for this promotion. This figure dictates how far before a check-in date the promotion will apply. If this parameter is set to 1, the promotion will only be available for bookings made 1 day or less before check-in. #### **For the minimum night stay of** The default setting for the Mobile Promotion promotion is 1 night – this can be changed to any value between 1-30. Important! These values will override any room rate level settings set through the Rates and Availability Calendar. #### **For bookings between the dates** This is when the promotion will be available on the app/website. By default, the promotion will always be on, but you can add start and end dates if you wish. #### **Disable Promotional Rates for the following days** This will allow you to select specific dates, or days of the week (or both) when this promotion will not apply. The default setting is for all rooms to be automatically selected. By default, all rates are selected.
